We’re very proud of the quality of our care, which has earned us the maximum five star rating from Suffolk Coastal District Council.
COMFORT AND SECURITY
Cats are housed in spacious heated chalets, with their own run, shelving and sleeping area. Our chalets can also accommodate two or more cats from the same home if they would prefer to stay together. All cats are provided with a sleeping box containing Vetbed® bedding, blankets and toys. Owners are also very welcome to bring any favourite blankets, beds and toys from home.
Each chalet’s run looks out onto our garden where cats can enjoy watching the fish in our pond and the blue tits and birds that visit our bird boxes, table and shrubs.
Cattery blocks are securely padlocked and regularly checked to ensure our visitors’ welfare, safety and security are maintained at all times.

FEEDING AND HYGIENE
Feeding takes place morning and evening unless you would like us to feed your cat little and often. Several brands of wet and dry food are available or owners can provide their own foods if preferred, including special diet foods. For cats reluctant to eat when they first arrive, we have tempting treats to help them settle in.
Clean food bowls are used at every feed and water bowls are always kept full of fresh water. Litter trays are completely changed daily, and we also 'pooper scoop' throughout the day. Litter trays are placed in the outside areas away from where cats eat and sleep, and filled with environmentally friendly wood pellet litter, which most cats seem to prefer. Clay litter is also available.
Feeding takes place twice a day or to your schedule

ATTENTION AND INDIVIDUAL CARE
Regular time is made for cuddles, playing with toys and grooming. For us, giving cats attention is a really important – and fun – part of our job. We love having playful kittens to stay and ensure they get lots of interaction, especially with our daughter! Of course, some cats prefer not to be handled and we respect this and will discuss your cat’s individual needs and preferences with you before you leave.
Elderly cats are also well catered for in our individually heated chalets. If they are arthritic or cannot jump up onto shelves, we have chalets adapted to their needs.
Most cats settle quickly but extra attention is always available to any cats that need it.

HEALTH CARE
All pets must be fully vaccinated and owners are requested to produce an up-to-date vaccination certificate on arrival. If a cat has been receiving treatment, or is on medication, we would also appreciate prior notice. We have various tried and tested methods to encourage cats to swallow pills and are experienced at administering injections and caring for cats with diabetes and other health conditions.
Our written procedures cover all aspects of health care and have been approved by Suffolk Coastal District Council, who awarded us their maximum 5-star rating. Our registered vet is Ryder-Davies and Partners in Woodbridge but we would usually contact you and your own vet in the first instance should your cat become unwell.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our family pet has been going ‘on holiday’ to the Cattery for about ten years now. There is a good choice of different sorts of accommodation - single or double ‘rooms’, on varying levels, most of them 3-storey, with a lookout view on the top which I think he really enjoys! The view is of course of soothing pondlife and the statuary adds to a rather classical ‘ambiance’! Always something to look at...”
